thursday

im supposed to be going to some history website now to read cheap quick summaries of european and international history in preparation for history s tmr. ugh, sad life that i have. but hmm, aysuria and i have been promised to be taken to a gay bad tmr after the thing, which should be interesting. extra underwear+jacket+chasity belt for me. but id rather we go to some normal bar such that i can go up to the counter and order some 90% alcohol thing and flaunt my new found eighteen status at the bartender who looks at my card with incredulity. oh the joys of being eighteen while still looking young. drinks, cigarettes and m18 movies and porn legally (technically, thats what they say at the disclaimers) and still be able to enjoy student discounts and under-12 promotions cos nobody knows. sorry man at the gym counter.

i am amazed, or should i say impressed at my sheer capacity for long sentences ala george elliot during exams. for sampling:

history s common test first sentence: ideology and economic changes were both major and fundamental sparks, engines and catalysts for change in Europe and in almost all sectors of European life; politics, society, industry, etc., upsetting centuries of tradition and conservatism, such as the rule of absolutist monarchs under feudal regimes, and the power of the roman catholic church, in the span of years from the nineteenth to twentieth centuries.

excuse the grammar, but i hate the way there are so many clauses in the sentence. so many things, so little sentences.

in other news, dezhi called me in the afternoon as i was about to cross the road and when some sand/dust thing got into my eye and i had to stop to rub and dig my bag for the phone and cross the road with one eye open, to ask me if i we could dota today, i said no i have history s and so we settled on saturday with a gymswim before that, and on the bus i was wondering about asking enqing along and whaddaya know he smsed and asked about gymming, so it seems that my social life is becoming self coordinated and i have not wasted a single cent in arranging this because i have free incoming (okay admittedly five cents for smsing eq back). now, all i need to do is convince dezhi to come to tampines since its now a 2v1 thing, and its nearer to kembangan to we can go find ivan and tl later, and the gym and pool is new and lurrvely, and theres a new sushi place downstairs that sells sushi by plates at 99 cents per plate (!) but i forebode thats its gonna be those cheapo kinds where they wrap cucumbers, pickles and sausages in rice and seaweed.

sad sad life, my life revolves around a few things, i feel like silas. studying, tv, project runway, eating, sleeping, gymming, lazing around, dota and so that i can be placed along with every other blogger in the universe in an attempt to seem in-of-place, daydreaming. okay actually that's a lot of things.

strangely, does anyone else share a weird liking for amerian sitcoms featuring a fat father who is funny, a mother, a teenage daughter(s) who have boyfriend problems which cause the father considerable trauma, a mother in law which the wife hates but pretends to like, and a small boy, presumably the younger brother who goes 'aw man!' at every other time when he enters the room asking his mom something and the mom replies in a sarcastic no cos she's annoyed after having bickered with the father but in the end they always end up kissing and hugging? i do, and its disturbing cos i actually laugh when the recorded laughs play out. but at least i dun laugh at america's funniest animals. i wish tv mobile would actually screen something other than afa and front, the latter of which is getting intensely irritating and poncey and inaccessible to normal people which is doing nothing to make normal people think that arty people are not exclusive and strange. but then again to be arty you have to be exclusive and strange right? oh well, i wish debbie would just not talk and let kumar do it, just sit and look pretty like in the downtown east commercial, and let 2 million males drool over you. the voice! just kills it, and as js would say can you imagine having -ex with her and she screams your name. spine chilling and shrill, but then again sounds like a new experience?

okay back to history. sounds like back to the future, but nevermind.

reeeeeeeeeeech
