in a few hours

i'm taking advantage of the broadband access (yes, i know, 56k blah blah blah) at junyuan's house now to do some quick blogging, since i've not had the time to blog for the past two weeks, oh i wonder why.

the past two weeks had been filled with anxiety, angst, lonliness, fun, exitement, etc. and all the other things one experiences having spent their first two weeks in Certain Place, refer to tan long and eq for more information. but right now all i can really say is that the gnawing feeling of living civility is setting in again (actually, it settled in and is sinking steadily since about eleven this morning), even though life in Certain Place isn't bad at all, and everyone there is respectable, nice, fun, and all the other positive adjectives, but it's just the prevailing pressure and all those things you experience at Certain Place. i just hope that when the Saving Ribbon comes off, things don't take a turn for the worse.

yesterday night was thoroughly enjoyable, having met up with junyuan for the first time in like months, i kid you not (the asshole is perpetually working). we thought of watching a movie but it was too late and too expensive and went to coffee bean instead where i must have blown at least thrity dollars on useless, calorie-filled cakes and drinks, but ohh the tiramisu the TIRAMIS, and we had one of those really nice heart to heart talks that i've been missing ever since he's MIA-ing due to work, inertia and everything. we took a walk back to my house to get some of my grey admin tshirts (which he will be using very, very soon, how regrettable) and ended up watching scary movie three which is brilliantly slapstick (i sense, another oxymoron). oh well, it was a great night, and i realise that all i really need is to have these kind of good long talks once in a while, and i'll be fine. thanks a lot buddy :)

today was spent having lunch with family, which i have sorely missed, then celebrating junyuan's birthday while being annoyed by the fact that everyone else is going back to their Certain Places only on sunday night, and in teck's case, monday morning. which is just ARGHH.
okay so there. it is getting late, and there's only a few more hours. so long.
